The pilot overseas internships, sponsored by the MOE Taiwan, is intended to subsidize those students to gain experiences in an overseas enterprise or professional institute. Those students are selected by their university. The goal of the program is to give recipients opportunities to conduct practical training in an overseas enterprise or institute and extend their vision.
This year, there are 12 excellent students participated in the program. They will spend their time serving in the local community organizations, Chinese Christian Herald Crusades (角聲學苑) and Union Plaza Care Center(友聯護理中心) in Flushing New York City.
TECO-NY Education Director Charlin Chang arranged the welcoming tea parting for the students group and showed her appreciation and encouragement to the students. She mentioned that these students are full of passion and motivated and they are very brilliant. They should use this golden opportunity study in a foreign nation and take in the allure and culture of a new land. They will experience a brand-new country with incredible new outlooks, customs and activities, and to see new terrains, natural wonders, museums and landmarks. Professor Tseng also expected her students will take this rare chance to provide and take what they have learned from the classroom. The students are encouraged to gain a global perspective, take practice opportunities and build practical ability to put theory and work among multi-concentration in the overseas enterprise or professional organization.
