In the 2018 PONY World Series League held on August 15, 2018 at Lew Hays Pony Field at Washington Park, PA in US, the team Chinese Taipei registered as team represented Taiwan claimed the championship. The team of Taiwan- Chinese Taipei defeated West Zone Champion Long Beach, California, 3-1 to win the 2018 PONY League World Series in the final match. The championship is the ninth title for Taiwan’s Chinese Taipei team since 1993. This year's title also marked the third in the last four years for a team from Chinese Taipei.

The PONY League is a baseball series specifically designed for players in their formative early-teen years, and the games are played on an appropriately sized field.
